Born and raised in California, I eventually followed a pull to the opposite coast to try something new. I have what I like to call life-is-short syndrome. I’ve always been painfully aware of how nothing lasts forever, so I have to experience everything I possibly can in this life and soak it all in. Photography became my way of holding onto that feeling.
I’ve always been a memory hoarder: postcards from every city, quilts made from all my school t-shirts, all the vintage photobooth strips with friends. Keepsakes matter to me, and I love translating that same sense of meaning into the moments I capture for others.
Caring for the planet has always been my thing. It’s at the heart of everything I do, both in my everyday life and in my work. I’ve spent years volunteering and building a career rooted in environmental advocacy, and it only made sense for my photography to reflect those same values.
